Hey,
I really want to get two Jess dolls for twins, this girl has stolen my heart!
But then I relized that it would be wierd to have twins with the same name.
So I'd have to change one of thier names. I don't really want to have to change the name,
plus then I'd have to pick one to beable to keep thier orginal name, and what would make one better than the other? So here are my options:
1. I could keep them both with the name Jess, and probably get confused alot, but feel good about keeping the right names.
OR
2. I could change one of thier names and feel guilty.
OR
3. I could wait, and hope that they make a Today doll with Jess's face mold, and hopefully fall in love with her.
Help!?!

Well, because she is a limited edition, I say get two. Keep one with the name Jess, and you could try to change the other one, sometimes board members have said that their doll names come to them once they see the doll in person. Your second one might even tell you what she'd like her name to be!
If you decide you can't change the second one's name, then you could always sell her on ebay later when she is sold out and fund another doll purchase.
Another thought, is that if you are afraid to change her name because she already has a story and personality, then I would suggest not getting two and making them twins, because she is not a twin in the book. I would get another dark haired doll that would complement Jess and make her Jess's sister Heather.
Just some ideas.

Go for 2 of them.
I never keep anything the same. My PM Samantha's name is the same, but I am calling her Sammy Jo most of the time, and her personality is different then the Samantha in the book.
Because she is a limited edition doll, you will K I C K yourself if you don't! Then when you have both of them you can definatly decied. And if you decide that one doesn't work out, you can always sell it. But then you would know instead of always wondering!

I have an idea, since I've heard that Jess has a middle name, how about you address one as Jess and use the middle name for the other? Or you could just flip flop the first and middle name (so she would be what the middle name is with her middle name as Jess) and use that for one, and Jess and then her middle name for the other. Hope I just didn't confuse you to pieces. Good luck!

I say get two Jesses and change one of their names. Why feel guilty? You can't very well have twins with the same names. I have the first 3 LE dolls and I've changed all of their names and personalities. Just because they come with a name doesn't mean you have to keep it!

Thanks for the ideas everybody, I think I'll get two.
I'll probably get a Jess and a Akiko, or a Jess and a Tess.
Thanks Prasnlrd and Shanna, and everybody else who contributed!

Or you could do Jess and Jessica... One could be more girly and the other more athletic/tomboyish.

Of course Mike Tyson did name all of his kids the same.
What about using the name of Jess's Friend as her twins name
